Your next race season starts here
Train Like a Pro
Two camps. One goal: arrive at race season stronger, fitter and ready to go.

Let's be honest. There are only so many turbo sessions you can face over the winter.
When the weather is grim, the roads are wet and the daylight disappears before you've finished work, it's easy for your training to become a battle of motivation. You know you need the miles. You know you should be building your base. And you know that arriving at the start of the season under-prepared is something you'll regret.
So why not escape the winter altogether?
This December and February, TenerifeVelo's Train Like a Pro camps are back, giving ambitious racers the chance to spend up to 3 weeks living, riding and training at altitude in Tenerife.
December 2026 + February 2027
Seven night blocks of structured training, professional coaching, support on the road, great riding, proper recovery — and, crucially, the chance to concentrate on getting better without the usual distractions of everyday life.
This isn't just a cycling holiday
Tenerife is one of Europe's great winter training destinations for a reason.
Mount Teide rises to 3,718m, with roads climbing to around 2,350m. Our HQ is positioned on the iconic Teide climb, near Vilaflor, giving you the unusual opportunity to sleep at altitude as well as train at altitude.
And then there's the weather.
While your mates back home are scraping ice off the car, you're climbing through volcanic landscapes, riding above the clouds and putting serious training hours into the legs.
That's the attraction of Tenerife.
But the real attraction of TenerifeVelo's Train Like a Pro camp is what you do with those hours.
Train with purpose
This is for riders who aren't simply looking for somewhere warm to ride.
It's for racers who have a season to prepare for.
Your days are built around training, coaching and recovery, with professional guidance covering areas such as race strategy, technique and training. The rides are carefully planned and fully supported, so you can focus on doing the work rather than worrying about where you're going, what happens if you puncture or how you're going to get back if the legs finally say enough is enough.
You'll have curated routes, professional coaching and a support vehicle on the road.
In other words, you can concentrate on the bit that matters: riding your bike and getting faster.
The altitude advantage
There's a reason professional teams repeatedly head to Tenerife during the winter.
The smooth roads around Teide offer huge amounts of climbing, long sustained efforts and genuinely challenging terrain — but without the stop-start nature of many training environments.
And at TenerifeVelo, you're not simply staying somewhere down by the coast and driving up to ride.
Our historic HQ sits up on the mountain, giving you the chance to make altitude part of your entire training block.
For a rider serious about preparing for the season, that's a pretty compelling combination.
Seven days to reset your training
There's something wonderfully simple about camp life.
Get up. Eat. Ride. Recover. Eat some more. Talk bikes. Sleep.
Repeat.
No commute. No meetings. No household jobs waiting for you. No temptation to cut the ride short because it's raining.
Just a group of like-minded cyclists, some spectacular roads and a week dedicated to training.
And because we're based at our own historic Canarian property near Vilaflor, you get a genuine training-camp environment rather than a standard hotel cycling package.
After a hard day in the saddle, you can relax, refuel and get ready for the next one.
It's hard work. That's the point.
Let's be clear: Train Like a Pro isn't designed for novice or occasional riders.
It's aimed at racers and experienced riders who are comfortable with a serious training load. Our pro-level camp is suitable for riders around Cat 2 and above, with groups structured to ensure you get the best possible experience on the road.
If you've got racing ambitions for 2027, this is where you start turning those ambitions into fitness.
Maybe you're chasing results in the spring.
Maybe you've moved up a category.
Maybe you're targeting a particular event.
Maybe you simply want to find out what you're capable of when you give your training your full attention.
Whatever the goal, a focused week in Tenerife can give you something winter training at home often can't:
momentum.
And yes, you'll probably see some pros...
One of the fun things about winter in Tenerife is that you're never far from professional cycling.
The island has long been a favourite training ground for elite riders, particularly around Teide. So while you're putting in your own hours, don't be surprised if you find yourself sharing the road with some familiar-looking riders.
Call it pro rider bingo.
Just don't spend too much time looking at their wheels.
